Our shop is located at Plot Number 84 on Taramandal Road, right near the Holi Plane Academy in Vivek Puram. It’s a decent area, and we’ve been here long enough that most of the folks around know what we do. We’re an engineering firm, but that basically means we spend our time fixing machines and fabricating steel parts for whoever walks through the door. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints scattered on the desk and scraps of metal on the floor, but we manage to get the work done on time. We don’t have any polished marketing slogans or a fancy front desk. Most of the time, the person who answers the phone is the same person who’s going to be doing the welding or running the lathe. We like it that way because it keeps things simple. The air in the shop always smells a bit like ozone and cutting oil, which is a smell I’ve grown to like over the years. We have a small team of guys who are good with their hands and don’t mind getting dirty. We don't try to compete with the huge factories; we just focus on doing a solid job for the local businesses and individuals who need something custom-made. It’s a quiet life of steady work and the occasional difficult project that keeps us on our toes. We’re usually here from morning until the street lights come on, just keeping the machines running.
