Grenzenlos Foundation

Our office is located at 211 G on Railway Station Road in the Civil Line area of Gorakhpur. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of movement outside. You can hear the whistles and the general roar of the crowd all day long. It’s a busy place to be. We have a small space here where we manage the foundation’s business. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some old desks and a few chairs that have seen better days. The walls are painted a light color that shows the dirt pretty easily, so we try to keep it clean. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through stacks of documents. It’s just a few of us here. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. When the trains come in, the whole building seems to vibrate a little bit. You get used to it after a while. We get our tea from a small shop just a few doors down. The owner knows how we like it. Most of the people who come to see us are from around Gorakhpur or people who have just stepped off a train. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just find us by word of mouth or by looking at the sign on Railway Station Road. It's a simple way to work in a very loud part of town.
