Foodcon Enterprises

Out here in Village Gyanapur, things are much quieter than in the main city. Foodcon Enterprises is situated at Gath No.-82, which is basically just a plot among some fields and other small storage units. You won’t see any big neon signs pointing the way. Most people around here just know us by name or ask the local farmers where the food place is. The air is a bit cleaner out this way, though the roads get quite muddy when it rains heavily in the monsoon. We spend most of our time inside the shed, sorting through things and making sure everything is stored where it should be. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We don’t sit behind computers all day because there is always something that needs to be moved or checked by hand. My younger brother handles most of the transport stuff, trying to figure out which truck is going where. It’s a practical way to live and work. We don’t have a lot of visitors, which is fine by us because it lets us focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes a cow wanders near the gate, or we have to wait for a tractor to pass before we can pull out. It’s a slow pace of life but the work is steady and we like the independence of being out here in the village. It fits the way we like to do things.
