It’s a very central spot in the neighborhood, so it gets quite a bit of foot traffic. You can often hear the bells from the temple during certain times of the day. The chauraha itself is usually full of rickshaws and people moving about, so it's a very active atmosphere. The clinic is a simple place. We don't have any of those modern glass walls or designer furniture. It’s just a practical office where the doctor sees his patients. We have a desk, some chairs, and the files we need. It’s honest work and we do it every day. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much, but we have the fans going to keep things decent. Being near the temple means we are part of the local community. People stop in because they know the location so well. We don't spend money on big advertisements because everyone around Tank Chauraha knows where we are. We just focus on getting through the day and helping whoever walks in. The floor is old tile and the walls have a few scuffs, but it’s a comfortable enough place for the work we do. We open up in the morning and stay until the last patient is gone. That's the way it's been for years.
