Diabetes Plus Clinic

We are set up right at Betiahata Chowk, inside the E-HEALTH THYROCARE office. Being at the chowk means there is always a lot of noise from the rickshaws and traffic outside. It gets really busy during the morning and evening rush. We have a small section dedicated to diabetes here. Most people find us easily because of the big Thyrocare sign on the building. Inside, it’s all white tiles and bright overhead lights. It is a very practical, no-nonsense space. We don’t have any decorations on the walls, just the charts and calendars we use for work. The air conditioning is okay, but it can struggle a bit when the Betiahata heat gets really intense in the summer. We see many people who are just dropping in while they do their daily shopping. Since we are right at the chowk, it’s convenient for them. The staff is small, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We usually eat our lunch together in the little break area behind the counter. The phone rings a lot, and we often have to jot down messages on whatever scrap of paper we find. It’s a hectic pace sometimes. We try to move people through quickly, but some patients need more time to talk, and that’s fine. We just handle it as it comes.
