Bheemsahyog Panchsheel Foundation

Bheemsahyog Panchsheel Foundation is based out of Village Durgapur, near Badhalganj. We are at House No-15. It’s a quiet spot in Gorakhpur, quite different from the big city offices you see elsewhere. Being in a village means we know almost everyone who lives nearby. Our setup is simple because that’s what works here. We don’t need anything fancy to do our work. Most of the time, we’re just sitting around a table talking through what needs to be done next. The internet can be a bit spotty out here, so we do a lot of things the old-fashioned way with pens and paper. It takes longer, but it gets the job done. We’ve been here for a while and the community has been good to us. We try to return the favor by being useful. It’s not always clear-cut what we should do first, so we just tackle the most urgent thing and go from there. There are no corporate bosses breathing down our necks, just the daily needs of the foundation. It’s a slow pace sometimes, but we prefer it that way. We might not have the latest gadgets or a fancy website, but we have a lot of heart and we know our neighbors. That counts for more than anything else when you’re working in a place like Durgapur.
