We’re over in Chinhat, in the Shivpuri Colony area. The address is 631/9, in Kamta. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s fairly quiet compared to the main city parts of Lucknow. We started this because we saw a need for a place close by where neighbors could handle their money. Traveling far for every little thing is a pain. So, we set up right here. It’s just a small office. We don't have fancy uniforms or a lobby with a water fountain. Usually, it’s just one or two of us behind the desk. We talk to people about their savings goals and help out with small loans when things get tight. It’s all very straightforward. We don't use big words or try to confuse anyone with fine print. If someone has a question, they just ask. We’ve known some of the people coming in since they were kids. That’s the benefit of being in the colony. We aren't some big corporate entity from far away. We’re just part of the neighborhood, doing what needs to be done to keep things moving. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't affect how we work. We keep the fan on high during the afternoon and just keep filing the papers. It’s a small, local life, and we are quite content with that. Most of our work is done by the time the sun goes down.
