A2A Global Trader is based in Gorakhpur, or GKP as most people here call it. We are located on Dhammal Bari Masjid Road. The office is part of the property belonging to Amir Ekbal, who is the son of Ekbal Ahmad. It’s a very local spot, right near the masjid, so we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day. It’s a busy area with lots of people walking by and small shops all around us. The road can get quite muddy when it rains, which makes it a bit of a trek to get to the office. We are a Limited Liability Partnership, but it feels more like a family business. We deal with various trading activities. Inside, the office is pretty simple. We have some old chairs and a large desk where most of the work happens. There isn't any fancy decor on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map. We handle a lot of the local logistics ourselves. Gorakhpur is a major hub for this part of the state, so there’s always something moving through. We spend a lot of time talking to local vendors and figuring out the right way to move goods. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We keep our overheads low and just focus on the day-to-day trading. Sometimes we sit out on the steps if the weather is nice to talk to the neighbors. It helps keep us connected to the street.
