Kadamanchi Ravi Kumar

I have been based in Chakalapalle Village for quite some time now. My house and work spot is H No 2-75, and people around Keshampet Post know me pretty well by now. Being in Gopalpet Mandal means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but there is always something that needs to be done. I handle my business myself, usually starting early in the morning when the air is still cool and the birds are just starting out. It’s a local setup where I take care of whatever needs doing for the people around here. I don't have a big staff or a corporate office with air conditioning. It's just me and sometimes a bit of help from a neighbor if the work gets too much to handle alone. I like the fact that I can walk down the street and talk to my customers directly. Most of them are my friends or people I grew up with since I was a kid. Sometimes the power goes out and I have to wait to finish my work, but you get used to that living in our part of the world. I try to keep my tools in good shape and my workspace as clean as I can, though it's hard with the dust blowing in. It’s a straightforward life and I don't ask for much more than steady work and a bit of respect. People know my name and they know where I live, so they just come by when they have a job for me. It’s how things have always been done.
