Social Child Development Educationalwelfare Foundation

We've been working out of Hajia Pur Road here in Gopalganj for a while now. The Social Child Development Educationalwelfare Foundation is basically just us trying to help out the kids in our neighborhood. It’s located at Ranjana Devi’s place, she’s the wife of Braj Kishoretiwari, and most people around here know where that is. We noticed a lot of children weren't getting the right kind of start with their schooling or just general well-being. So, we started this. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that. We just sit together and figure out how to get books or help families who are struggling to keep their kids in class. Some days are busier than others. Sometimes we just talk to parents who are worried about their children’s future. It's a lot of work but it feels right to do it in our own town. Gopalganj is home, so seeing the local kids do a bit better is what keeps us going. We don’t have any big corporate backers. It’s mostly just neighbors helping neighbors. People drop by the house when they need something or if they have an idea to share. It's a bit informal, maybe, but we get things done. We focus on education and just making sure the basic welfare of the young ones is taken care of. There's always more to do, but we take it one day at a time here. It keeps us busy and connected.
