Jmk Lights

We run Jmk Lights out of Gopalganj in Bihar. It’s a local business that we started because we saw a need for lighting around here. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep a lot of stock inside. We have all kinds of bulbs and fixtures crammed into the shelves. People from the town and nearby villages come to us when they are building a new house or just need to replace a burnt-out light. We know most of the faces that walk in. It’s a small-town vibe where everyone chats for a while before actually buying anything. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical shop where we spend our days. Sometimes the power goes out, which is ironic for a light shop, but we just use our backup and keep going. We don't use big words or try to act like we are some global company. We are just Jmk Lights. We focus on the local market here in Bihar. Most of our days are spent unpacking boxes and showing customers how different lights look when you plug them in. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more. The store can get a bit cramped when new shipments arrive, but we make do with the space we have. It’s just how we operate day to day.
