Jai Maa Dhanma Hospital is located in Sahdei Buzurg, right at Mahesh Ray’s place. It’s in the Sahdei Buzurg block, so we are very much a part of the local landscape here. The hospital is a simple setup, reflecting the rural and semi-urban feel of the area. We aren't trying to be a high-tech facility from a movie. We are just a local hospital where people from the block can come when they are sick. Mahesh Ray’s house is a well-known landmark, so people don’t usually have trouble finding us. The staff here are locals too, which makes communication a lot easier. We deal with the typical challenges of running a hospital in a place like this, like making sure we have enough power and water. The days are usually long, starting early when the first patients arrive from the surrounding villages. We don’t have a big office or a bunch of executives. It is just the doctors, the nurses, and the support staff working together. We keep things pretty informal but we take the work seriously. There’s no marketing budget or fancy slogans. We just focus on the people who need help. Sahdei Buzurg is our home, and we’ve been here long enough to see kids grow up and families change. It’s just a regular part of life for us here, keeping the doors open and helping out our neighbors.
