Bagahi Bazar is a busy little spot in Gopalganj, and that is where we call home. We are right there at Ramdas Bagahi. If you come by on a market day, the whole place is packed with people and cattle and carts, which makes getting our materials delivered a bit of a puzzle. We have to time the trucks just right or they get stuck in the middle of the bazaar for hours. The office is a simple room where we keep the site diaries and the tools. Ajaylaxmi Nirman is basically just us and a handful of dedicated workers who have been with us for years. We do building work all over Gopalganj, mostly residential stuff but some commercial bits too. We don't spend money on fancy websites or glossy pictures. If someone wants to see what we can do, they just look at the last house we finished down the road. It’s a lot of manual work, dealing with the heat and the dust and the constant noise of the market outside. We spend our evenings checking the accounts and making sure we have enough gravel for the next morning. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a good one. We are from Gopalganj and we like working with the people here. It is a straightforward business where a handshake still means something and we just focus on getting the work done.
