Vajra Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is set up over at PS Colony in Gondia. We are working out of the place belonging to Smt Rupa Shamrao Chandankar. It’s a simple arrangement, really. Vajra Welfare Foundation doesn't have a big standalone building or a corporate headquarters. We just operate from here because it’s where we can manage things best. Gondia is a smaller place compared to the big cities, so everyone kind of knows everyone else. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors and local folks about what needs fixing or who needs a hand. The colony is usually quiet, which is nice for getting through the admin work we have to do. We don't have a staff of fifty people; it’s just a small group of us who care about the local area. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the internet is slow, but that’s just life in Gondia. We don’t let it bother us too much. We focus on the welfare projects we’ve started. It’s very hands-on work. You won't find us wearing suits or giving big speeches. We’re more likely to be found drinking tea and discussing how to get supplies to someone in need. Being "care of" someone else means we keep our overhead low so we can put more into the actual work. It’s an honest way to run things, and it keeps us close to the people we are actually trying to help. We just keep moving forward with our daily tasks.
