This is the Wainganga Computer Institute over in Pauni. Most people around this area just know the place as Bhai Talao. We’ve got a room full of computers where local students come to learn the basics of how to use them. It’s not like one of those big high-tech centers you see in the city, but we have exactly what’s needed to get people started. Sometimes the internet connection is a bit spotty, especially when it rains, but we make do with what we have. We teach people how to type properly, how to browse the internet safely, and how to handle the basic software that most jobs require these days. It’s mostly young people looking to improve their chances for the future, but sometimes older folks come in too because they want to learn. Pauni is a quiet place, so it's good to have something like this here for the community. We spend a lot of time explaining things twice or even three times until it finally clicks for someone. That’s just the way teaching goes. The desks are a bit old and some of the chairs squeak when you move, but the computers work fine for what we need. We don't have any big corporate backing or fancy investors. It's just us running the place and making sure the students actually walk away with some useful skills. We keep the doors open throughout the day. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't use big words to describe what we do.
