Jansewa Rice Industries

Jansewa Rice Industries is right there on Pauni Road, just a short walk from the main bus stand in Dawadipar Bazar. If you stand outside the gate, you can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. This place is usually covered in a fine layer of dust because of all the grain we move through here. We spend most of our mornings unloading trucks that come in from the local farms. It gets pretty loud once the machines start running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. The building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space where the work gets done. We have stacks of heavy jute bags piled up almost to the ceiling in the back. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and we have to rush to keep the rice dry. The crew here has been working together for a long time, so everyone just knows what to do without much talking. We keep some old chairs near the entrance where we sit for a quick tea break when the power goes out or when things quiet down for a bit. It’s just a normal mill in a busy part of town where people are always passing by on their way to the market. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a small desk where we keep the logs. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise till the evening.
