Century Enka Ltd.

Century Enka Ltd. is situated out in Koradi, right in the K.T.P.S. Colony at 7/34/06. Being in Nagpur, we deal with some serious heat for most of the year, so our office is always a bit of a refuge from the sun. The colony is a specific kind of place where everyone kind of knows everyone else’s business, and we’re just another part of that landscape. Our office is a practical space, meant for working rather than showing off to visitors. We have these old metal cupboards full of files and some desks that have seen better days. You can hear the hum of the power station nearby if you listen closely enough in the quiet moments. Most of us have been coming to this same spot for years, so the walk from the main gate feels like second nature now. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or a lounge for guests. It’s mostly just us, a few computers, and a lot of paperwork that keeps coming in every morning. Lunchtime is usually the best part of the day when we all sit together and share whatever we brought from home in our tiffin boxes. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the monitors. Nagpur is a tough city in the summer, but we’ve got the coolers running and we just get on with it. It isn't a glamorous job, but we just take care of the tasks one by one.
