Our office is at B-1 New Marketing Yard, right on National Highway 8-b. Being at the Marketing Yard means we are right in the middle of all the trade and transport activity that happens in this part of town. Uttam Exim is basically a place where we manage the import and export side of things. It is a lot of logistics and paperwork, honestly. The highway is right there, so we see a lot of the goods we handle moving past us every day. The office is functional and a bit cramped with all the files and ledgers we have to keep. We don't have a lot of staff, just a tight group of people who know the rules and the routes. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is necessary for moving products where they need to go. Sometimes the yard gets incredibly crowded with trucks, and it can take forever just to get in or out of the gate. We’ve learned to be patient with the chaos. We don't spend money on fancy signs or big ads. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We just try to stay on top of the shipping schedules and make sure the containers are where they should be. It is a lot of phone calls and checking the same documents over and over to make sure no mistakes were made. That is life at the yard.
