J Kamdar Saree Studio

J Kamdar Saree Studio is located right near the Swaminarayan Temple. You cannot miss the temple, so we are easy to find here in Nani Bazar. It is a crowded area with lots of people walking by, but that is just how the market stays alive. We sell sarees. Every morning we open up the shop and start folding the fabrics. It takes a lot of time to keep the stacks looking neat because customers like to see everything. The shop isn't huge, but we managed to fit a lot of stock onto the shelves. Being in Nani Bazar means there is always noise from the street. You can hear the bells from the temple sometimes, which is nice. It is a good spot for a saree shop because people come to this area for their shopping anyway. We have all kinds of fabrics, from plain ones to those with a bit more work on them. We just try to keep the stock moving and help people find what they need. It is not a corporate showroom or anything like that. Just a regular shop where you can sit on the little stools and look at the cloth. We try to keep the lights bright so the colors look right. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break. If you are near the temple, you will see us.
