Ankor Industries

Ankor Industries is situated right on the National Highway, at Door No 8/B. We are just a short walk from the Galaxy Petrol Pump in the Bhojapra area. Being on the highway means we get a lot of dust and noise from the traffic, but it’s the best place for a manufacturing unit like ours. We have a small factory floor where we make various industrial parts. It’s a loud place when the machines are running, so we usually have to step outside to talk on the phone. We have about ten workers who live nearby. The shed is made of corrugated metal and it gets quite warm in the summer months. We have a couple of big fans, but they mostly just move the hot air around. We started out with just one machine and slowly added more as we could afford them. There’s no fancy office here, just a small cabin with a computer and a metal cupboard for our files. We get our raw materials delivered by truck every Tuesday morning. Most of our customers are other businesses in the district who need specific components made to order. We don't do any big marketing campaigns. We just show people what we can make and they usually come back if they like it. It’s a lot of manual labor and getting our hands dirty with oil and metal shavings every day. We work hard.
