Ramada Plaza, N Delhi

Even though the name says Ramada Plaza, N Delhi, we are actually located at 112, Subhash Nagar in Gonda. It is a bit of a distance from the capital, but this is where we are. The building is in a regular neighborhood. We have been working here for a while, managing the rooms and the people who come to stay. It is not a huge skyscraper. It is more of a local landmark in Subhash Nagar. Every day starts about the same way, with checking the laundry and seeing what needs to be fixed. Things break sometimes, like a leaky tap or a light that won't turn on, and we just have to get it sorted. We don't have a corporate script for when we talk to guests. We just say hello and help them with their bags. The street outside can be quite noisy with the local market sounds and the honking of horns. Inside, we try to keep it a bit more peaceful. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place in India, just a solid option for anyone visiting Gonda. The lobby is simple, and we usually have the news playing on a small TV. We have a few regular guests who come through for work every month. It is just a group of us running a hotel and trying to make sure the rooms are ready when the sun goes down. We just keep going day by day.
