You can find Jai Hind Dal & Mills at Plot 52, Nayi Basti. We are right in the heart of Madhowari. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot going on. Our mill isn't a massive factory or anything. It's just a solid place where we process dal every day. We’ve been at this plot for a while now. The building is a bit old, and the gate squeaks every time you open it, but the machinery inside works well enough. We focus on the pulses. There is always a layer of dust on the windows, no matter how much we clean them. It’s just the nature of the work. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. Most people find us because they live nearby or have heard about us from a friend. We have a few workers who have been with us since the start. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the loads to arrive. Life in Madhowari moves at its own pace, and we just move along with it. We handle the sorting and the grinding ourselves. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps the food on the table. If you walk past Plot 52, you’ll hear the hum of the motors. That’s us, just doing our thing day in and day out. We like being part of the Nayi Basti community. It's a place where everyone knows everyone else eventually.
