Ashok Masale

We are based in Nanpara Village, which is part of the Chitaura Block in the Bahraich district. Our location is quite convenient for most folks because we are right near the Nanpara Bus Stop. If you are waiting for a bus or just got off one, you can probably see our sign or smell the spices we are working on. The post office is also right there, making this a central part of the village. We have been Ashok Masale for a long time, and the locals around here know us well. It’s a very rural setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but we still have plenty to do. Bahraich can get very rainy during the monsoon, and the ground around the bus stop gets pretty muddy, but work goes on. We spend our days grinding and mixing different masalas. It’s a family-run type of thing, even if we don't say it out loud much. We have a couple of small machines that make a lot of noise, and there is usually a layer of spice dust on everything in the shop. People stop by to chat while they are running errands, and that is just how we like it. It feels like a proper part of the community, sitting there near the transport hub, watching the village go about its business while we focus on our own tasks. It is a good way to spend the day, even if it is repetitive sometimes.
