Smart Eye

Being out here in Rongamati Kaibortta Gaon is different from being in a big city. We are situated in a quiet corner near Dergaon. Most people know the way to the P.O. Rongamati, and we aren't too far from there. Our business, Smart Eye, started because we saw a need for what we do right here in our own district. It is not a flashy office with glass walls. It is a practical space where we keep our equipment and meet with people from the village. The local police station in Dergaon is a few miles away, so things stay pretty peaceful around here. We spend a lot of time just talking to the locals who stop by. We use our local Pin code for all our mail, which sometimes takes a while to reach us out here in the village. Living and working in the same area means we know almost everyone who walks past the door. The weather gets quite humid during the monsoon, and sometimes we have to move things around to keep everything dry. We don’t have a marketing team or a bunch of suits. It is just us trying to make a living and help out where we can. Our desks are a bit cluttered and the chairs are older ones we’ve had for a long time. It feels right for the kind of work we do. We just take it one day at a time and see who comes through the door.
