Singlo Napuk Tea Estate Llp is based out of the Amba Complex on H S Road. It is a central location, so it is easy for people to find us when they need to talk about tea business. The complex has several offices, and ours is one of the steady ones. H S Road is always active, with cars and rickshaws constantly moving past. Inside our space, the focus is entirely on the tea estate operations. We have a lot of ledgers and documents because running an estate takes a lot of tracking. The rooms are filled with the scent of paper and sometimes a bit of tea leaf if someone brought a sample in. It’s not a place for lounging around. We spend our hours coordinating with the workers and checking on the seasonal shifts. The fans hum overhead during the hot afternoons, and we just keep at the work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just part of living here. We don't put on any airs about what we do. It is just labor-intensive work that requires us to be present and attentive. We have been in the Amba Complex for a good while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We drink a lot of tea ourselves while we discuss the weekly schedules. It is a quiet but busy life. That is the way we operate day in and day out without much fuss.
