Parmeshwari Tea Company

Parmeshwari Tea Company is located right out by National Highway-39 in the Marwari Patty area of Golaghat. Being on the highway means we see a lot of trucks and travelers passing through every single day. It’s a dusty spot sometimes, but the location is great for moving our goods around. We handle tea from the local estates and get it ready for sale. The building is older, and we haven't done much to change it because it works for what we need. Inside, it’s mostly storage and a small area where we do our bookkeeping. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us wearing our everyday clothes and working alongside everyone else. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot and humid like it does here in Assam. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just buy tea, sort it, and sell it to people who want it. Our family has been involved in this for a long time, so it's just second nature to us now. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so we all look out for each other. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back while watching the traffic. It’s a simple life, and we like being in the tea business. It's what we know best.
