Moran Rice Mill

You can find Moran Rice Mill over in the Siva Sagar district. We are specifically located in Moran Hat on College Road, right near the old cinema hall. Most people use the cinema as a landmark to find us. It’s a lively part of town with students from the college always walking around. Our mill is an old-fashioned place. We haven’t changed much over the years. The building itself has a lot of character, which is a polite way of saying it’s quite old and worn. Inside, it’s all business. We have the milling equipment running for most of the day. It’s loud and you have to raise your voice to be heard. We don’t have a dedicated sales team or any of that. It’s just us and a couple of helpers. We handle the rice for many of the local families and farmers. We keep our records in big ledgers by hand. It feels more reliable to us than using a computer. The smell of the rice is something we don't even notice anymore, but visitors always mention it. We don't do any promotional stuff or try to act like a big company. We are just a local mill on College Road. Sometimes we stand outside near the road just to get some fresh air and watch the world go by. It’s a good place to work and we’ve been here long enough to feel like part of the furniture.
