Ladha Hardware

Ladha Hardware is tucked away on an unnamed road near Thana Chariali. If you find the police station, you are pretty much there. It’s a central spot in town, but that little road can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. We keep a lot of different tools, nails, paints, and basic hardware stuff crammed into the shelves. It’s one of those shops where we know exactly where every little screw is, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. People from the neighborhood come in for all sorts of small repairs they’re doing at home. We spend a lot of time weighing out nails or mixing a bit of paint for someone. It isn't a huge place, so when three or four people are inside, it feels quite full. We usually sit on small stools near the counter and chat with whoever walks in. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just keep the doors open for the light. It's a quiet kind of work, nothing too fast-paced unless it's a Monday morning. We've been at this location for years, and the building itself shows its age a bit, but it does the job. There’s no big sign or flashing lights, just the usual hardware smells of oil and metal. We just like being part of the local market life near the station. It is a steady way to spend the day.
