Kamala Rice Industries Llp is situated over in Sonaribari, specifically at the Samaguri area of Nagaon. We operate out of the space at Hariom Traders at Dag No. 721, Patta No. 266. It is not a very big operation, just a handful of us working here every day to keep the rice moving. The yard is usually full of trucks coming in from the fields, and there is always a layer of dust on everything in the office. We spend most of our time checking the weight of the bags and making sure the processing machines are not acting up. It gets pretty loud when everything is running, so we usually have to step outside to talk on the phone. The weather in this part of Assam is often quite damp, which means we have to be careful with how the grain is stored in the warehouse. We have been in this spot for a while now and most of the local traders know where to find us. It is a simple life and the work is hard, but we are used to it. We don't have any fancy brochures or a big website to show off. Most of our business happens right here on the ground, shaking hands and tallying up the numbers in our ledgers. We just try to get the bags out on time so the drivers can get back on the road before it gets too dark.
