Economic Enterprises

Our workshop is at W-64 in the MIDC area of Gokul Shirgaon. It’s a typical industrial plot with plenty of room for our equipment and materials. Economic Enterprises has been operating here for quite a while now. The area is mostly other businesses like ours, so there’s a lot of activity throughout the day. We start our mornings early, usually before the sun gets too high, because the metal building can get warm. There’s always something that needs maintenance or an order that needs to be double-checked. We aren't a big corporation with lots of departments; we’re just a small crew where everyone does a bit of everything. If the floor needs sweeping, one of us does it. If a machine needs oiling, we handle it. It’s a very practical way to work. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of the time we’re hands-on with the projects. The canteen nearby is where we usually grab a quick lunch. It’s not a fancy life, but we like the work. Gokul Shirgaon is a bit far from the main city, but it’s a good place for a business like ours because we have the space we need. We just keep moving forward, one day at a time, making sure the work gets done right. It’s a quiet life out here on the edge of town.
