Riwas Tiles

Riwas Tiles. We are located at 7-26-41, 1St Main Road in Kaujalgi. This shop is basically my second home. It’s filled with stacks of ceramic and vitrified tiles. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of cardboard and stone. We have samples laid out on the floor so people can walk on them and see how they feel. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My arms are usually tired by the time we close. We don’t have any fancy sales people in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes. I spend a lot of time helping people figure out how many boxes they need for their bathrooms or kitchens. Sometimes the math is tricky and we have to draw it out on a piece of scrap paper. The 1St Main Road is always busy with bikes and tractors. We have a small back area where we keep the extra stock, and it’s always a struggle to keep it organized. We’ve had some of the same display boards for years because they still look good. If a customer wants a color we don’t have, we have to call the warehouse and see when the next truck is coming. It’s a straightforward way of living. We open early and stay late if someone is coming from far away. It’s just a tile shop, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep moving the crates and serving the folks here in Kaujalgi.
