J. L. Printers

J. L. Printers is tucked away in the Kiwati Building over in Ravivar Peth. If you’ve ever walked through this part of town, you know it's full of narrow lanes and old buildings. Our shop always smells like ink and paper, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We have a few old machines that make a lot of noise, but they still run fine if you know how to treat them. Sometimes the paper jams and we have to spend an hour fixing it, but that's just part of the daily routine. People come in with all sorts of requests, from small cards to big posters. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the workshop where all the magic happens. The Kiwati Building has seen better days, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s home to us. We usually keep the doors open to let some air in, especially when the machines have been running all morning. Customers usually just walk in and wait while we finish up their stuff. It’s a bit messy with stacks of paper everywhere, but we know where everything is. We take things one day at a time here, making sure the ink is right and the cuts are straight. It's a small crew and we’ve been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get the job done.
