Our shop, Western Chemist, is located right opposite Civil Lines. It’s a busy enough area, so there’s always someone stopping by. We handle a lot of prescriptions and sell things like bandages, ointments, and the usual stuff you’d find in a chemist shop. It’s just a plain room with lots of shelves. We don't have any big fancy displays, just rows and rows of boxes. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific thing right away, but we eventually get it. The staff here consists of just a few of us who have been working together for quite some time. We start the day by cleaning the counters and checking what needs to be ordered for the next day. It’s a bit of a routine, but it works for us. Living and working near Civil Lines means we see all sorts of people. Some are just passing through, and others have lived here for decades. We try to be helpful without making a big deal out of it. There’s no music playing or anything like that, just the sound of the street outside and the occasional fridge humming in the back where we keep the cold items. If you need something for a headache or a scratch, we’ve probably got it sitting on a shelf somewhere. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, but we like the familiarity of the place. We’ve got a small bench if someone needs to sit for a minute while we look for their items.
