Shivshakti Glass House

Our shop, Shivshakti Glass House, is right near the Ghel Bhavani Mata Mandir in Godhra. If you are looking for us, we are directly opposite Aadarsh Radio. Most people use the temple as a landmark when they are trying to find the street. We’ve been working with glass here for quite a while now. It’s a bit of a messy job, honestly. There are always shards of glass on the floor that need sweeping and the sound of the cutter is constant. We handle all sorts of glass, from windows to smaller pieces for frames. It’s heavy work and you have to be careful with your hands. The shop is open to the street, so we see everyone walking by to the temple. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website. People just know that if they need a piece of glass replaced, they come down to see us. We keep a stock of different thicknesses in the back, though it can get a bit disorganized when we are busy. We’ve lived and worked in Godhra for years, so we know most of the faces that pass by. It’s a steady life, cutting glass and loading it onto trucks or rickshaws. We just try to get the measurements right the first time so no one has to come back twice.
