At Laxmi Ganapathi Earth Movers, we spend most of our time out in the dirt and the sun. Our main base is over in Eluru Post, in the West Godavari district. It’s a good spot for us because there is always some kind of development happening in this part of the state. We have been working with these big machines for years, and they are basically like part of the family now. It’s not a clean job, that’s for sure. My boots are usually covered in mud by noon, but that is just part of the life when you are moving earth. We don't have a big fancy headquarters with glass walls. Our office is just a functional space near the post where we keep our records and handle the equipment maintenance. Most of the time, the machines are out on a site somewhere, and the office is quiet. We don't really do the whole marketing thing with brochures and polished speeches. People in West Godavari know us because we’ve been around and we just get the work done without making a fuss. It can be hard work when the weather is bad or the ground is tough, but we just keep at it. Eluru is a busy place and we are glad to be a small part of how things are growing around here. If you need some heavy lifting or digging, you’ll find us easily enough. We are just regular people with some heavy equipment who know the local terrain pretty well.
