Ramlak Exports

Ramlak Exports is located on Gandhi Street in Kallippatti. It’s a nice area, fairly easy to get to once you’re in the village. The office is basically just a front room we converted a few years ago. We have a big table in the middle where we spread out all the documents. Most of what we do involves coordinating with suppliers nearby. We try to stay on top of things, but sometimes the timing gets tricky. My cousin comes in twice a week to help with the inventory. We don't have a lot of high-tech gear, just an old laptop and a phone that works most of the time. The walls are a bit bare, maybe a calendar or two from the local bank. We aren't looking to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just want to make sure the exports are handled properly. Kallippatti is a small place, so news travels fast if something goes wrong, which keeps us on our toes. We spend a lot of time talking to the local transporters. They know the roads better than anyone. Sometimes we sit outside on the porch when the weather is nice to discuss the day's tasks. It’s a very hands-on type of business. We don't use any fancy corporate language because that’s not who we are. We just do the work, send the packages, and wait for the next order to come in.
