Krishna Kumar Gupta

My name is Krishna Kumar Gupta and I run this business on Agia Road in the Goalpara district. If you are driving out this way, you’ll see we are quite close to the Balijana Army Camp. It is a bit of a walk from the main town center, but it’s a good spot because of the people coming and going from the camp. I’ve been working here for many years now. It isn't a large operation with a lot of employees. Mostly it is just me and maybe a family member helping out when things get busy. I handle a bit of everything, depending on what the locals need at the time. Sometimes it’s supplies, other times it is just helping someone get a task done. I don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. My sign is simple and I rely on people knowing me by my name. The area around Goalpara is quiet in some parts but Agia Road stays fairly active. I’ve lived here my whole life, so I know the weather and the people quite well. When the rain comes down hard, business slows down and I spend time tidying up the shelves. I don't think making things sound more important than they are is useful for anyone. I just provide what I can and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. It is a steady life and I like being my own boss in this small corner of the world. It works for me.
