Our company, Amiantit Fiberglass Industries Pvt Ltd, is located at H.No 172 in Saiwada, which is in the Pilgao area of Bicholim, Goa. This is not the part of Goa that tourists usually see. It is much more industrial and quiet. We are surrounded by greenery and small houses. The work we do with fiberglass is heavy and can be quite messy, so our facility is built for toughness rather than looks. We have big open spaces where the materials are kept. The air usually has that distinct smell of resin and manufacturing. Most of the people working here are locals from Bicholim or the nearby villages. We know the roads around here like the back of our hands. Pilgao is a place where everyone knows everyone else. Our office is right there on the site, so we can see exactly what is happening on the floor. It gets very humid here, especially during the monsoon season, and we just have to keep working through it. We don't have a corporate cafeteria; we usually just bring our own tiffins and eat together in the shade. The house number 172 has been our base for a long time. We don't go in for fancy talk or big marketing slogans. We just make sure the fiberglass products are made right and sent out on time to whoever needs them. It is hard work but it is what we do.
