Sun Village

Sun Village is located in Arpora, right between Baga and Panjim. It’s 403518 if you’re looking at a map. Goa is a busy place, and this area is no different. We have been here for a long time, watching the hills change as more buildings go up. The weather is usually hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure things stay cool inside. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach from here, but people don't seem to mind the stroll through the village. We have a lot of rooms and they are all a bit different from each other. Some have a better view of the trees than others. We don't have a corporate handbook for how to talk to guests. We just say hello and help out if someone loses their key or needs a towel. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages, so they know all the shortcuts. Sometimes the pool needs extra cleaning after a windy night, and you might see us out there with the nets early in the morning. It’s not a perfect resort out of a magazine. It’s a real place where things get used and worn down, and we do our best to keep it all running. We like the quiet mornings before the music starts playing down the road. It’s just our way of life here. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything tidy with the humidity constantly hitting the walls.
