We are R.K.Pikale And Associates, and we handle the accounting and tax stuff here in Ponda. Our office is in Kalpana Apartments, Block A, right in the Khadapabandh area. It is a pretty typical setup for a firm of chartered accountants. We have stacks of files and ledgers all over the place, especially when tax season rolls around. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. There are a few of us working here, and we’ve known most of our clients for years. People just drop by with their receipts and folders. We don't have any big flashy signs or a modern reception desk. It’s just an apartment that we turned into a workspace. It’s comfortable enough, and it’s close to the main parts of town, so people find it convenient. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy, but we get used to it. We spend most of our time looking at numbers and making sure the math adds up correctly. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who need their books looked at. It’s a small, local practice and we like keeping it that way. We just do our best to stay on top of the new rules and help people out with their filings without making it a whole complicated production.
