Chowgule Co Pvt. Ltd. is located right at the Mormugao Harbour in Chowgule House. Being so close to the water means we are always surrounded by the activity of the port. You can hear the cranes and the ships coming in all day long. The building itself, Chowgule House, has been a part of this landscape for many years. We don't have a very modern or polished setup inside. It is a working office where we handle a lot of logistics and business matters related to the harbour. The air always has a bit of salt in it from the sea. We spend our time at our desks, dealing with a constant stream of files and messages. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush carpets or fancy art on the walls. It’s more about metal cabinets and sturdy wooden tables. We have a lot of history here at Mormugao Harbour, and we feel like we are just part of the furniture now. People from the ships and other local businesses drop in frequently, so there’s always someone to talk to. We don't bother with fancy mission statements or corporate speeches. We just keep our heads down and manage the work that needs to be finished. It’s a busy life by the water, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s just how things are done here.
