We are located over at 13, Central Excise Colony in the Residency Area here in Indore. It’s a pretty quiet spot most mornings before the traffic really picks up. Usually, one of us gets here a bit early to unlock the heavy shutters and let some fresh air in, though the dust from the road follows right behind. There isn't much fancy about this place. We have the usual desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of papers that seem to pile up no matter how much we organize them. People from the colony walk over quite a bit, mostly just to get things sorted or ask a quick question about their accounts. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front window, but we have the fans going. Sometimes the internet acts up and we just have to wait it out while chatting with whoever is waiting. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood life here. We see the same faces every week, like the guy who runs the tea stall nearby or the families living down the street. It’s not a big corporate skyscraper or anything like that, just a functional space where we handle the daily banking stuff. Sometimes we run out of pens because people walk off with them by mistake. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets what they need before we head home for the evening.
