Operating out of Phase III B in the Verna Industrial Estate is a busy experience. This place is huge, and there is always something moving. We are located at Plot No-M2 To M11, so it’s a big stretch of land to keep track of. The noise of the machinery is something you just get used to after a week or so. It’s a lot of shifts and people coming in and out at all hours. We have to keep things organized because if one part slows down, everything else backs up. It’s not like a small village shop; there’s a lot of concrete and metal here. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The Goa heat can get trapped in these industrial buildings, so it stays pretty warm even when the sun goes down. We handle a lot of logistics, making sure the trucks are loaded properly and sent off on time. It feels like a small city inside the estate sometimes. We have our lunch breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the news or at home. You see the same forklift drivers every day. It’s a steady kind of life, focused on the output and making sure the machines keep running like they should. We don’t really think about the big corporate side of things much, we just focus on the work right in front of us. It’s tiring but at least it’s reliable.
