Smart Electronics

Our shop is right near the church in Salcete. It's Shop No 03. It's a small place, but we pack it with as many gadgets and wires as we can. People come in because their phone stopped charging or they need a new cable for their TV. It’s usually just one or two of us working here at any time. We spend a lot of time under bright lights looking at circuit boards and small chips. It’s fiddly work and makes your eyes tired by the end of the day. We don’t have a big showroom with lights. It’s more of a workshop where things get fixed. The area around Grecesha Church is nice, especially in the evenings when it cools down and people go for walks. We see the same faces every week. Someone’s remote breaks, or they want a battery for their clock. We try to keep the common stuff in stock. If we don’t have it, we tell them to come back in a couple of days when the delivery arrives. We don't promise things we can't do. Sometimes a phone is too broken to fix, and we just say so. It’s better to be straight with people about their stuff. The fan in the corner makes a bit of noise, but it helps with the heat. We’ve got shelves full of old parts that might come in handy one day for a rare repair. It’s just a normal electronics shop, nothing special, just serving the people who live nearby.
