Arun Sheet Metal Works

We've been at Plot No. A-82 in the Kundaim Industrial Estate for quite some time now. Arun Sheet Metal Works is basically just us working with metal all day. If you drive through North Goa and get into the industrial area, you’ll find us easily enough. It gets pretty loud in here with the cutting and bending going on, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the roof. The shop floor isn't exactly fancy, but it gets the job done. We started out small and just kept at it because people around here needed things made or fixed. Some days the machines act up or the power fluctuates, which is just how it goes in Kundaim. We handle different types of sheets, mostly focusing on what customers bring to us. It’s dusty work and our clothes usually have grease on them by noon. There’s a tea stall nearby where we take breaks. Most of the guys here have been with us for years and they know the rhythm of the place. We don't really have a big office or anything, just a desk with too many papers on it. It’s a straightforward setup. We do our work, close up when the day is done, and head back home. We've had to fix the roof twice because of the heavy Goa rains, but it still leaks a little near the back corner. The driveway into the plot is a bit bumpy too, so you have to be careful if you're driving a small car. That’s pretty much the whole story of what happens here at A-82.
