Amol Feeds Private Limited

Our place is at House No. 1173 in Samarthnagar, right along the Mumbai-Goa Highway in Hatkhamba. Being so close to the highway means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of trucks passing by at all hours. This is where Amol Feeds Private Limited operates from. We make feed for animals and the house is basically a warehouse and production spot now. The bags are stacked high against the walls. We spend the whole day hauling those heavy sacks around. It keeps you fit, that’s for sure. The heat can be quite bad under the tin roof, so we try to get most of the heavy work done before noon. Hatkhamba is a busy junction and we get people stopping by who are just passing through. We don't have a big storefront, just the sign and the open doors where the loading happens. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait to start the grinders again. That’s just part of living in this area. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just have a list of what needs to be delivered and who is coming to pick up their order. It is an honest day’s work and we go home tired every night. The highway never stops and neither do we really.
