Smart Collection

If you look for us, we’re at 175/A, right opposite the government quarters in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a decent spot because people are always walking by on their way home or to work. Smart Collection is a small shop where we keep a variety of things for people to browse through. We don't have those big glass displays you see in the malls. We just use regular shelves and hangers. The lighting is okay, but one of the bulbs usually flickers a bit until we tap it. We spend most of our morning unpacking boxes and trying to find space for new items on the racks. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We like it when the shop is full of people talking, though it can get a bit loud. We don’t have a computer system that does everything; we still write a lot of things down in a ledger. Gandhi Nagar is a quiet enough area, except for when the school nearby lets out. We’ve been here for a few years now and have gotten to know the people who live in the quarters across the street. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around. We just want to have enough on the shelves so that when someone comes in looking for something specific, we might actually have it. It’s a simple way to run a business and it keeps us occupied. Most days we are just here tidying up.
