C. L. Roongta

We've been around Bavantoli for quite a bit now. People mostly know us by the name C. L. Roongta. It’s not a huge operation, just us working out of this spot near Post Box No. 2. Most mornings start with checking what’s come in through the mail. It gets busy, then it’s quiet, and that’s how it goes. We don't have a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. Sometimes the weather gets a bit much, but we stay open. Most of our neighbors know us. We’ve seen the area change over the years. Some shops closed down, others started up. We just keep doing what we do. If you’re looking for us, we’re right there in the Bavantoli area. It’s easy enough to find once you’re around. We don't spend much time on the internet or making big signs. We find that staying busy with the actual work is better. People stop by, we talk, we get things sorted. It’s a simple way of running things, but it works for us. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is handled. The post box is where most of our letters end up, so that's a central part of how we keep in touch with everyone outside the immediate neighborhood. It isn't always glamorous, but it is our daily life and we are used to it after all these years.
