We operate out of Plot No-135, right near the Police Line in Rajendra Nagar. It’s where the stone work happens too. Being near the Mayurudan post office makes it easy for mail, though we usually just see people in person. It’s a lot of dust and heavy lifting here. We deal in stones and trading materials that go into construction. You can hear the sounds of cutting and moving things most mornings. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like it well enough. We’ve been here for several years now. The yard is usually full of slabs and blocks. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when a big shipment of raw stone arrives. We aren't a big corporation. It's just a few of us making sure the orders are right and the stones aren't cracked. We see a lot of builders and regular people trying to fix up their homes. Rajendra Nagar is growing, so there’s always something to do. The weather affects us a lot; when it rains, the yard gets muddy and slow. But we just keep at it. We’ve known the neighbors for a long time. It’s a practical business. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or anything. We just focus on the stone and the trading. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in a bit of grey dust. That’s just part of the job. It’s a simple life, really, just working with what the earth gives us and making a living.
