Vrundavan Jaggery Farm

Vrundavan Jaggery Farm is located in Devalpur, near the Post Office Kodinar Khadudyog in the Gir Somnath district. We are very close to the Shree Chamunda Mataji Temple, so you can often hear the bells ringing throughout the day. Our work revolves around the seasons and the sugarcane harvest. When the season is on, the whole place smells sweet from the boiling juice. It’s a traditional way of working and we don't use any fancy machines that aren't necessary. Most of the people working here are from the local area and we’ve been making jaggery the same way for a long time. It’s hard work near the furnaces and the sun can be quite strong in this part of Gujarat. We don't have a big marketing team or a glossy brochure. We just produce our jaggery and sell it to the people who come by or to the local markets. It’s a very honest way to live, working with the land and the crops. Visitors often stop by after visiting the temple to see how the process works. We don't mind showing them around as long as we aren't too busy with a fresh batch. The farm is our home and our livelihood, and we take pride in just doing the job right every single day without any fuss.
